AAESQ/QESBA Spring Conference

Congratulations to the Lester B. Pearson School Board on the successful Spring Conference they hosted last week with the theme Pathways to Wellness. QESBA has received only positive feedback on the success of this conference.

QESBA honoured the five recipients during the 5th annual Awards in Excellence in English Public Education ceremony on Saturday May 25. The judges had a difficult time narrowing down the recipients once again!For details please see the news release issued on Monday May, 27 here.

AAESQ/QESBA will be co-hosting the 2020 Spring Conference without a host board at the Manoir St-Sauveur from May 21-23, 2020, mark your calendars!

APPELE-Québec

Chairman Geoffrey Kelley and Vice-Chair Joan Fraser have been hard at work with the release of a Léger Marketing  Poll specifically aimed at English-Speaking Quebecers and their opinions on the importance of elected school boards. Parliamentary Committee on K-4

Stephen Burke, QESBA Executive Committee member and Chairman of the Central Québec School Board will present the QESBA position on K-4 Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at 4:15 p.m. at the National Assembly.  QESBA has been in favour of K-4 for over 10-years, there are certain areas of concern that will be echoed to the Committee on Tuesday. The QESBA brief will be available on our website on Tuesday evening.

FCSQ Congress

QESBA President Dan Lamoureux and Executive Director Russell Copeman will represent QESBA during the Annual FCSQ Congress in the Eastern Townships. The FCSQ will hold their elections over the next few days, QESBA will keep you apprised on any developments.
