QESBA Professional Development Session
The next QESBA PD Session will be held on November 30 and December 1 at Château Vaudreuil. The Professional Development Committee met this week to finalize an ambitious program. The preliminary program will be sent to Commissioners today.
A letter of invitation has gone to Jean-François Roberge, Minister of Education to join us for supper on Friday, December 1, 2018 to address delegates.
Registration for the PD session will be $125.00 per participant, the PD Committee reduced the registration fee from $150.00. You will register for the session with Suzanne Keough.
QESBA Executive Director Russell Copeman attended the opening ceremonies of the QPAT Convention yesterday in Montreal, where the new Minister of Education, Jean-François Roberge addressed the delegation.
Spring Conference 2019
The Lester B. Pearson School Board are hosting the next joint AAESQ/QESBA Spring Conference at the Fairmont Mont-Tremblant from May 23 - 25, 2019 under the theme "Pathways to Wellness."
We are seeking proposals for sessions that respond to three sub-themes:
Maintaining a healthy body and seeking care when needed
Keeping an open mind for new ideas and expanding knowledge
Understanding your feelings and coping effectively with stress
Session proposals can take the form of:
- Workshops – interactive presentations in a conference roomsetting
- Learning opportunities related to one of the threesub-themes
- Activities – facilitated group participation in alternative settings
- Experiential opportunities that realize sub-theme benefits
