Minister of Education

QESBA jointly with our partners at the FCSQ have requested a meeting with the new Minister of Education, Jean-François Roberge.  The Bureau du Sous-Minister has already been in contact with QESBA to examine possible topics for a first meeting.  

CAQ position on School Boards

Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board names new Chairman 

Paolo Galati has been named Chairman of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, he succeeds Jennifer Maccarone who was elected as a Member of the National Assembly on October 1.  QESBA wishes the new Chairman well in his new role.

QESBA Annual General Meeting and Board of Directors

Both the Board of Directors Meeting and the Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday October, 27, 2018 at the QESBA offices in Dorval.

QESBA Executive Committee

The Executive Committee will meet on Friday October 26, 2018 to treat the next steps in the Strategic Plan in hopes of finalizing details to present to the Board of Directors later this fall to put in place a concrete road map of the next three years for the beginning of 2019.


Minority Community Vitality through Education is the theme for the upcoming QUESCREN Forum being held from October 28-30 in Montreal.  The forum will explore ways in which minority language education can contribute to community vitality. Its focus will be Quebec’s English-speaking minority. You still have time to register for this very important forum which begins on Sunday.
